He wanted a tulip profile — the shape used on the competition circuit for a reason. The narrower top holds aroma above the liquid, and the flared rim places coffee on the front of the tongue, where sweetness and acidity register first. He'd spent months dialling in the coffee and needed a vessel that showed it properly. We made it for him, drank from it ourselves, and liked it enough to add it to the collection. \u003cstrong\u003eThis is the first time it's available outside that original run.\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eEach Tulipan is a \u003cstrong\u003eMix Wave\u003c\/strong\u003e piece — coloured porcelain slips poured and swirled together during casting, so the pattern runs through the body of the cup, not painted on top. \u003cstrong\u003eGlossy food-safe glaze inside and out.\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003ePhotos are for colour reference.
