300ml. Handmade slip-cast porcelain with a glossy glaze, made in Glostrup, Denmark.

We originally designed this cup for a Greek barista competing in Brewers Cup. He wanted a tulip profile — the shape used on the competition circuit for a reason. The narrower top holds aroma above the liquid, and the flared rim places coffee on the front of the tongue, where sweetness and acidity register first. He'd spent months dialling in the coffee and needed a vessel that showed it properly. We made it for him, drank from it ourselves, and liked it enough to add it to the collection. This is the first time it's available outside that original run.

Each Tulipan is a Mix Wave piece — coloured porcelain slips poured and swirled together during casting, so the pattern runs through the body of the cup, not painted on top. Glossy food-safe glaze inside and out.

Photos are for colour reference. Because every piece is mixed and poured by hand, the pattern on your cup will be different from the one in the photo. We ship from the batch at random.

Made in batches. Current production time is 14 days from order.

Size guide

Each piece is unique

We are making Hand-made dinnerware. Each piece is unique with a distinct appearance. Small drips and holes on a surface are not considered as defects. Matt glaze makes each item unique. Scratches and marks will occur and they are not considered as defects. Color may vary depending on firing temperature and glaze composition.

Food safety

All our ceramics are made with food grade materials, all our suppliers have all necessary EU certificates that indicates that.

Cleaning and care

Unglazed porcelain surfaces, are sometimes susceptible to light stains, unlike glazed porcelain. Frequent washing can help remove and prevent staining. All our products can be placed in the dishwasher for daily washing and care. You can also place the item in a bowl of warm water with a detergent tab. Very stubborn stains and spots can sometimes be removed with diluted chlorine and lime remover.

Dark lines in the glaze (usually caused by silverware) can be removed by scrubbing with a sponge with dish soap and baking soda. Grease stains on matte glaze can be removed with baking soda and water.

If greasy fingerprints appear, rub the exposed porcelain with food safe oils, let sit, then clean with soap and water.

It is very important (and we highly suggest) that you let boiling water settle
(stop rolling/bubbling) before pouring it into a tableware item - especially a hand made piece. If the item is very cold to the touch, we also suggest pre-heating it with hot tap water. Pouring boiling water directly into a cool handmade cup, bowl or mug
may cause the item / glaze to crack.
