MK Dripper V2 – Handmade Porcelain Flat Bed Dripper

The dripper that finished 2nd at World Brewers Cup

In 2021, Elika Liftee was preparing for the USA Brewers Cup. Working at Onyx Coffee Lab, he reached out to us with a specific ask: a brewer he could use in competition. We made it. He proposed changes. We implemented them. In 2022, he took 2nd place at the World Brewers Cup in Melbourne, Australia — with an MK Dripper V2 in hand.

The MK Dripper V2 is built around flat bed geometry — the design choice that sets it apart from cone drippers. Where a cone funnels water toward a central point, a flat bed distributes it evenly across the entire coffee bed. The result is a more uniform extraction and a brewing process that rewards consistency over technique.

Flow rate is controlled by the five-hole base rather than your pour alone. This restricted, regulated drainage supports finer grind sizes without stalling the brew — giving you more precision over extraction without fighting the physics. The star-shaped filter support keeps the filter raised off the base, ensuring all five holes stay active and flow remains unobstructed throughout the brew.

Compatible with 185 and 155 wave filters, Sibarist FAST filters, and virtually all standard flat bed filters. Fits most common pour-over servers. Thickened porcelain walls provide heat retention and durability through repeated daily use.

Each piece is unique

We are making Hand-made dinnerware. Each piece is unique with a distinct appearance. Small drips and holes on a surface are not considered as defects. Matt glaze makes each item unique. Scratches and marks will occur and they are not considered as defects. Color may vary depending on firing temperature and glaze composition.

Food safety

All our ceramics are made with food grade materials, all our suppliers have all necessary EU certificates that indicates that.

Cleaning and care

Unglazed porcelain surfaces, are sometimes susceptible to light stains, unlike glazed porcelain. Frequent washing can help remove and prevent staining. All our products can be placed in the dishwasher for daily washing and care. You can also place the item in a bowl of warm water with a detergent tab. Very stubborn stains and spots can sometimes be removed with diluted chlorine and lime remover.

Dark lines in the glaze (usually caused by silverware) can be removed by scrubbing with a sponge with dish soap and baking soda. Grease stains on matte glaze can be removed with baking soda and water.

If greasy fingerprints appear, rub the exposed porcelain with food safe oils, let sit, then clean with soap and water.

It is very important (and we highly suggest) that you let boiling water settle
(stop rolling/bubbling) before pouring it into a tableware item - especially a hand made piece. If the item is very cold to the touch, we also suggest pre-heating it with hot tap water. Pouring boiling water directly into a cool handmade cup, bowl or mug
may cause the item / glaze to crack.
